The TR-200 has been updated for use with FST's new tissue slice recording chamber and animal heating pads. This unit is designed to control the ambient temperature of cultured cells and acute slice preparations as well as precisely maintaining core body temperature during surgery.

The TR-200 regulates temperature at the level preset by the user by continuously varying the DC current. This minimizes the electrical interference with other electrical equipment. Temperature is displayed on an LCD display in 0.1°C units and an analog output is available for chart recorder or computer monitoring. The unit has a switch to select between thermistors in FST's tissue slice recording chamber. The unit is CE Certified.

The TR-200 is also the temperature controller used with the animal heating pads FST No. 21060-00 and No. 21060-10 for the maintenance of body temperature during surgery.. VAT Included 19,6%

FST offers two standard sizes of pads for use as a heating source to maintain body temperature during experimental procedures requiring anesthesia or upon recovery. The small pad (10 cm x 25 cm) is ideal for small rodents, as it easily fits into standard stereotaxic frames, and the next size (22.5 cm x 50 cm) for larger animals. Custom size heating pads are available upon request. These heating pads provide safe, even heat to the surface of the animal, while the side towards the bench top is insulated. The pads are covered with a tough laminated material that provides durability and flexibility, so they can be shaped, if necessary. They are heat, acid and UV resistant and the internal connectors are sealed to improve water resistance. They are easily cleaned with a damp soapy cloth or sponge. Do not immerse in water. The heating pads are color coded, with the orange (warm) surface towards the animal and the blue (cool) surface towards the bench top or stereotaxic frame.

The TR-200 temperature controller (No. 21052-00) must be used with these heating pads.

In conjunction with the above, FST offers a small animal rectal probe, FST No. 21060-01 to help maintain desired body temperature.
