This unit has been designed to self regulate the interface temperature at 37.0° +/- 0.5° C under the following conditions: the animal is anesthetized (tail pinch and corneal reflexes absent), is unshaven, with an ambient room temperature of 21° C. Fine adjustments can be made by recalibrating the regulator box with the use of a small screwdriver.

The unit consists of the self regulating heating pad which is supplied with a 6 foot cord, which connects to the regulator box, which then leads to a low voltage 12 VDC wall adapter.
